In today’s world, environmental concerns are putting more demands on recycling and reuse of existing material. To move material from a recycling center to a processing facility requires that it be compacted into bales that can be shipped easily.
This is a non-stop business, so when our customer had a compaction machine out of service, they came to us for a specialty fabricated part that required metal to rubber bonding. We selected our MR35-60-07 chloroprene to satisfy the demands for this application and bonded it to the customer supplied metal plates. For this assembly, we had no drawings, but created assembly fixtures based on verbal communication with the customer. We delivered these with a very short turn-around time so the compactor could be returned to profitable service.
